What You Should Know Now That You Have Your
Dance Shoes
You should buy a special shoe brush to keep
the
suede on your shoes fresh and clean. If not, they
will become quite slippery.
Women's heels will wear down over time and
can
be cheaply & easily repaired by any local shoe
repair shop.
It's not uncommon for the suede on a man's
heel
to work loose quickly. If it does, your dancing has
probably improved. You can attach the heel pad
with contact cement, or have it done cheaply and
easily at any local shoe repair shop.
It's a good idea to put some standard powder
in your
dance shoes before each use. Since you will be
wearing them for hours at a time, your feet will sweat
and can slide around quickly inside them.
Try not to wear your shoes anywhere else but
on the
dance floor. Build up of dirt and, especially, liquid of
any sort can damage the shoe's suede sole permanently.
It is not uncommon for the suede soles to
wear out. If
it does, it can be easily repaired and replaced by any
local shoe repair shop. But, don't let it go too long or you
could end up wearing out the leather that the suede is
attached to. If this happens, the shoe may not be repairable.
